Description so I'm going to explain in detail how I made my Suicune crystal<3 [link]
let's see... hopefully I can remember everything, this will probably be long^_^'

I wanted to make it light to wear, so I used wire. first I drew this model and printed it the size I wanted, using two papers. then I took a ruler to determine how long parts of wire I needed, and where to bend it... ignoring the bottom part at first, I started with the main crystal. after making the black lines and two each of the blue lines I put them together with more wire around the corners, where I've added the purple lines for you guys. and the other lines are blurry because I drew this picture really small at firstXP also note that the black and blue lines are supposed to continue and join together under the bottom part, but you can't see it in this picture. then I did the bottom part and put them together... you're going to need a pincer for bending the purple wires, they should go around each corner as tight as possible. and be careful with the pointy wire edges while making this shell unless you want to bleed for your work too>_< then I put tape on each corner to hold everything in the right shape while replacing the tape with glue one by one. after finally getting this step done I just pressed the crystal against my forehead to make it a comfortable shape. noticed those small red dots? the bottom ones are where I fastened the elastic headband. the others have a string connected to them and the headband. this is to make sure the crystal won't fall off or slide to the sides just because I turn my head or something.

now it's beginning to look like something=3 next step is to put on a wonderful kind of material which apparently translates to "craft foam". to do this I first wrapped paper around the crystal and drew lines where the wire was, so to get a model. I made one piece for the front, but the back has to be two pieces since the bottom part won't fit in otherwise. then I cut out the parts of craft foam and glued them onto the crystal. the back required a little more strategy than the front, I began from the top working downwards, so as not to get stuck. I also found that putting the glue on the wire first and then pressing the craft foam onto it makes it smoother than pressing them against each other while putting on the glue. wish I had discovered that before making the frontXP anyway, now the crystal has an outer shell, yay~

next I had to cut the edges a little prettier here and there, but no matter how carefully I'd use the scissors, it still wouldn't look good enough. this is where spackling paste comes in. I used it to fill in wherever necessary and give the crystal a smoother appearance^_^ ...but then comes the next problem. my craft foam had been the perfect color, but the same doesn't hold true for spackling paste. but after getting this far, something like that won't stop an artist, will it? so draw your paintbrush and defeat those gray spots. also remember it might be a good idea to paint a second layer after the first has dried... now after all this, the time has come for the final touch. add lacquer to make it shine, and the crystal is done~ X3
