When he was young-ish he was separated from his family and plunged into the fights between humans and Enaders. In the process, he lost his wings to some humans, but made a few friends. Now he has trouble remembering much about his past, his memories before the war are hazy and dreamlike. Now he just lives every day as it comes.

Kasai is an angry and kind of cold shell with a sweet and kind inside. He isn't one for small talk of fakeness, so he'd rather be friendless than have many he doesn't talk to or connect with strongly. He's usually just uninterested and keeps to himself. Around those he does know well and considers friends he's kind, cracks jokes, and is much more than angry; he's protective, careful, and totally a Dad. With new people he'll try to seem warm and kind, but end up seeming fake or too trying.
