Series: Avatar: The Last AirbenderHa - ummmm, this one needs a little bit of explanation...
A few months ago, I started reading DamageCtrl's post-series Zutara fic Rhythm of the Rain on fanfiction.net. It was so awesome, that when the LJ Zutara-comm posted a contest for a fanmix-soundtrack for the ship, I based the tracks off of the story. I really wanted to do a coverart for it...
... but I didn't have Photoshop. And now I do.
In any case, the fic is POST-SERIES - the Gaang has won the war, now it's up to Zuko, as the new Fire Lord, to win the peace. And being a good ruler means sacrificing happiness (and love) for one's country (yes, a real cheerer-upper, this one is...) *cough*

...Absolutely the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. The little turtleduck by Zuko's adorable. You're really excellent at coloring; their clothing looks absolutely strokeable.

Reasons for liking Zutara:
1) It's FANON - thus, logic is optional, and everything goes.
2) Kataang = fluffy sugar. Zutara = ANGST!EMO!FIGHTING!
3) "Love conquers all" is only for the true romantics.
4) "Denial" ain't just a river in Egypt. (*~.^*)
5) Yin-yang symbollism. Hellz yeah.
Basically - Zutara is more interesting than Kataang. We already KNOW that Katara and Aang work well together, that they respect each other, etc. The "what if?" aspect of Zutara is what drives it - WHAT IF two people from totally opposite backgrounds, thrown into a dangerous, traumatizing war on OPPOSITE SIDES could somehow learn to love each other? How would the conflict be resolved? What would they learn about each other and themselves as a result? Zutara requires overcoming many, many obstacles that would scare most people, but shippers believe that both Zuko and Katara are strong people capable of overcoming them. Kataang's canon, yes - doesn't mean we can't have a little fun.
P.S. - It's a proven fact that girls are more mature than boys in their teenage years, for the simple biological fact that female development begins sooner. Thus, Katara is mentally/emotionally on par with Zuko (I'd even peg it a couple more years AHEAD of Mr. Can't-Unhead-My-Sphincter-for-Five-Minutes)

I and by the way Zuko isn't that good of a firebender according to his sister and Katara is supposed to marry "a powerful bender" Aang is a better air bender than Zuko is a firebender. Plus he's the avatar.

Uh...Im not meaning to be rude or anything, but please if your gonna comment on a peice of artwork, dont critisize the ship. its highly disrespectful and the artist spent alot of time on this beautiful picture so leave comments that dont critisize any aspect of the picture.

Zutara wont work out trust me they might like each other evan if they do if Aang found out Zuko would be dead in two seconds and Sokka would help. I think that if she wasn't so bossy than I would like them together but I HATE her and I wan't her to die.
