When I first saw gentians for real I was kinda stupefied by their sheer brilliance and the most unimaginable shade of violet-blue ever possible - yet they were wearing that shade with royal pride and above all - that shade was REAL. Incredible sharp INTENSE like all blue skies above the Earth combined - it was real. Real and most beautiful combination of violets and blues ever.Given gentians are featured in one of the most tender fantasy songs of all times: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gME1pH… (title translates as "The Princess") and seeing them IRL after having heard all the magic of that song - a priceless experience
