Anyway, the face DOES seem to be a little flat compared to the rest of his body.
Maybe the dragon on the right could be shaded more? Something about it bugs me...I don't know why, though...

Yeah, I think some of the depth gets lost when trying to mimic manga screentones with pencil.

Yup, there are a few Star Ocean video games out, but I've only played Star Ocean 2. It's really good. (that's the one with Ashton in it)

I actually wasn't planning on doing anything more with this one, but I'm thinking of changing my mind. I suppose if I ever find myself motivated to, I will give it some color and give his face more substance.

Wow... *speechless* Amazing. As for a critique... I would also like to see more shading done to his face or darken the background. I don't know. Could be kinda cool.

Nifty drawing! I like how some parts seem to be shaded flat while others have depth. It might look even more smashing (<--word of the day) if you had done more to his face. It seems to me that it's kind of flat as well, causing it to blend in the background instead of being the focus. The dragons look neat, too, smashing really.
