Description
One of the Creative Copycat -contest's 3rd place prizes, this one is for ~Garmmon who wished Jinouga/Zinogre, a thunder wolf wyvern thing, from Monster Hunter game.Usually lineart takes less time than actual colouring but it was vice versa with this guy.
ยค PITT pens, colour pencils, a bit white ink.

I won't be using this picture exactly, I tried my best to draw this on paper first. [recreated this picture without color]

Ok then, I won't upload a Stygian Colored one in my own style. But I've decided that I'm still going to do it for practice and to replace the drawn version on the front of my binder. At best, the digital copy will be in my sta.sh where people can't see it because I need a back-up copy. I might make an avatar out of mine too...

My first time was not good. With a group, piece of cake. Stygian Zinogre? I never want to fight solo again [at least, not with Helios Z armor]

For Stygian Zinogre, I don't have any since going solo I don't know how to kill it in time [it was a miracle beating him my first time]
For normal Zinogre, sure, I got some. Usually he tries to get into his supercharged state whenever he can. When he is charging, try to knock him back, it'll delay him a lot longer. However, if he is trying to be enraged, he will just go back to it right afterwards since he can only be enraged when charged.
Knocking him back 3 times when he is in the charged state will cancel his charged state. When he finishes charging, everything around him will be hurt [melee distance]. When he pounds the ground, he will alternate between both forelegs twice. Left Right or example. If he is charged though, then he will do it 3 times. Right, left, Right. Just running around him and rolling [sometimes back and forth works too] will allow you to dodge the attack. Also, he can't be charged when he is tired/hungry. Huge advantage to the hunter as always, but the only problem is that he often tries to eat YOU like Deviljho. Other times he will run away for a Gargwa [Misty Peaks is where your usually fight him]. He also tends to run away often.
Want any more advice? I do have more. This was mostly on his attacks.

In terms of high rank, i never made it, I made Helios from low rank and then i made Brachydios when i could. If you care about looks, then probably not, I don't think it looks the best. Terms of skills, I'm not sure, but I do know the skills for S. Zin armor. G rank Zin and subspecies version have different armor skills if you didn't know. For example, S. Zin has +2 Dragon attack or whatever. I also see more people have S. Zin rather then normal Zin. After I make A. Lagi armor, I was going to try and make S. Zin armor [A. Lagi uses a S.Zin Skymerald] You will have to look at the armor skills and decide [if thats what you care about] Def is good and it looks cool [terms of G rank]

Yeah, like I said, I'm not sure because I don't see people with High rank Zin armor. And I've only seen one person with G rank Zin
If you want to see, I suggest going to the monster hunter ultimate wikia. Their info is actually quite accurate. Just go to google and type monster hunter ultimate and it should be the first one

well, there are no quests to capture him
killing him shouldnt be too hard if your careful. I didn't really start killing him till I was in G rank so that made a lot of difference or me having rare 10 weapons and rare 9 armor

For me Zinogre sounds a bit better for some reason, but Jinouga is fine as well.

The Zinogre one is what they were going for. Jinouga is simply the japanese spelling o Zinogre. If it wasn't the spelling would simply be Jinouga. Take it from a guy who knows what he is talking about when it comes to the Japanese Language

I know, it's just that when the name 'Zinogre' wasn't revealed yet we all just referred to it as 'Jinouga' and it stuck. I know enough about Japanese language too |P

Haha yeah, my friends and I used to play MHP3 with the english patch so we used Jinouga and the other patch names.
Yeah I can speak a bit of Japanese, but I'm not really good at it or anything. I mostly translate from Japanese to English instead of the other way around.

Yeah, there was some english patch for MHP3 with romanised Japanese names like Aoashira, etc so we're used to calling those monsters by those names now.
I did take some, but I'm mostly self-taught; I usually took Japanese classes so I didn't have to pay attention in class lol.

This is a great design! I like the bold combination of colors very much, and it looks like a LOT of work went into the scales and spikes.
