Also is her hair like... one of thoseΒ that's cut short on one half, left long on other? The hat is always there so it's hard to see....

Yes! Though her fringe would probably still cover it up quite a bit. I just can't be bothered to draw it most of the time sdfdjklh
It is shorter on one side, yes- though I'm still not sure I'd call it short because it sticks out quite a lot. She does take her hat off on occasion so you will be able to see it at some point.
I don't really worry about how her hair works- just draw it and don't question it's existance//
