I decided I wanted to draw an old school type of pose for Exi c: Idk how to explain it but I feel like there was a phase where everyone in the dragon community of deviantart seemed to prefer aesthetic poses over completely likely and realistic ones. Like for example this one would've made more sense if she had her legs stretched as if she just pushed herself off of something for a jump. Maybe I'm the only one that perceives it this way, who knows xDHope you like it.

This is a really beautiful pose! I think that poses that are natural and lead you to believe an action has occurred, like a jump, are great poses, but I have always loved poses that just are. They don't have to make sense to be really lovely. It ultimately depends on what mood you're in c: Do you want to tell a story? Or do you just want to draw something in a really fun and interesting pose that wasn't meant to tell a story at all? Beautiful work as always β₯

Oh thanks so much for this lovely comment! And yeah I feel the same way about poses. Gravity bound logical poses can be a fun challenge every now and then but aesthetic floaty poses are lots of fun as well that's why I offer the "simple" type commissions, they're basically aesthetical floaty poses, haha.

This dragon was designed in 2008. When did FR launch again? 2013 I believe? So no. I guess not. It also looks nothing like a skydancer as far as I can tell from a quick Google search so I guess I don't have to contact FR about taking the species down either <-<
