A very striking image.. and when compared to the original photograph, your skill shines out, because you've captured very eloquently the feel of the photograph, plus added your own style to it. Amazing work. I especially love the hair.

Yes, I really think. ^^ An individual's style is determined by many things, from their life outlook to their perceptions, to their emotions, to their opinions, to the art they like to look at, to their hand-eye coordination. It's a holistic trait, encompassing and influenced by an individual's whole life and personality, and even if YOU can't see it yourself, other people can. You can alter it, I suppose, to suit your idea of art better, by using focused mental power, but it will never lose its you-ness. ^^

great to hear... i think you must be right... but it's bad that i don't really feel it...
i've talked about this a lot with my boyfriend... he told me that if i'd know that i have my style i'd give up searching and learning... this would be the worst, 'cause than i won't be able to develop later...
so maybe it's good as it is

Your boyfriend sounds like a great guy and very intelligent, because I think he's right about that. To believe one has attained something causes one to stop searching, and that only leads to stagnation. ^^ Take heart in the assurances of friends and loved ones, you -DO- have a style and it's a great one.

That's truly beautiful and romantic. Are the colours similar in real life? I mean, so purple and black?... you're very good at painting. I wouldn't be able to create such an image...*

i've used a B&W photo (see the link in the decription).. if you see my gallery you can realize that mostly i use blacks, reds and blues... these are my colors... maybe that's why i've chosen these purples and blacks
