Maybe it is because the deer seem to be so nonchalant , or maybe it is the nice, balanced composition, but either way there is something very appealing about this pic. I like it! Thanks for letting us see!

i like it
p.s. What do you mean when you say it is a gum arabic print?

thanks!
it's a type of printing where you use a photocopy of your drawing with gum arabic solution on it, so when you ink it up the oil based ink and the toner interact. Then you put it though a press with some paper

I don't get it either. You mix your color into a Gum Arabic and potassium dichromate mixture, then expose to the sun? Wash then you have an image?

Or more of a lithograph process?

it is more like lithography really. you don't expose it, you just rely on to solutions reacting to each other. In this case, it's the ink from the photocopy and the oil based printing ink you roll over the photocopy with the gum arabic solution. The printing ink sticks where the photocopy ink is. So when you put it though the press, where the printing ink has been caught by the photocopy ink it transfers onto the other paper you are printing on.

GAH. that was probably a really bad explanation, but it's hard to explain without examples!
All though it my not sound it, it's a very simple printing method and a lot easier, effort wise, than lithography!
hope this helped!

Yea, I'll have to try it out. Sounds fun.

I recently did a few Gum-Bichromate prints, so thats what I was confused.

I've been wanting to try something that is litography-ish, the only press the school I'm going to has is an Etching Press...so the stones are out

crazy, never heard of using it that way. Is the photocopy on any certain surface or is it just paper O.O
