I 100% agree with you here, it wasn't good nor was it bad, it just exists. I'll probably watch the second season, because why not, but it could've been a lot better. The characters didn't quite feel like a "family" like...at all. Maybe that was the intention to show how they've drifted apart, but still, it was weird to me.

given their relations they didn't have to feel like a family, but minimum understanding maybe, someone?! not even understanding to be fair, but the way they ignore eachother and decide to hide facts from eachother, even if they might be important, is super off. in their situation, they should consider every detail. same for the basics of trust - it enraged me when they didn't believe Klaus as he discovered new features of his powers. i've heard people defending them by saying that Klaus is an addict that never sobers up, which is true, but like... all of them have superpowers of unknown origin, their dead brother could shoot tentacles out of his belly for hecks sake, and all of the sudden they don't believe him. the hell, people?! no wonder you failed : //
