Izumi was a young girl living in the Northern Water Kingdom. She lived with her parents, who were fishermen. Ever since she was a little girl, Izumi showed a natural talent for water bending. Her parents were amazed by her abilities and knew she was destined for great things.

One day, while out fishing with her parents, a storm suddenly appeared on the horizon. The waves were getting rougher by the minute, and it seemed like they were going to capsize. But Izumi remained calm and focused, using her water bending skills to control the waves and guide their boat safely back to shore.

Her parents were in awe of their daughter's abilities and knew that she was meant to be a water bender. From that day on, Izumi's parents encouraged her to hone her skills and become the best water bender she could be.
