I never liked how it looks like Canada is wearring a winter coat. so i pretty much gave him his actual WW2 uniform... with some edits by me...cuz ... well... i duno....Related content

The reason it looks like he's wearing a winter coat is because one of the biggest stereotypes for Canadians, aside from saying 'eh' and about on par with living in igloos, is that Canadians all wear parkas, all the time. So Himaruya-sensei gave Canada a parka for a jacket. But I quite like your use of his WWII uniform, and he would have worn an actual uniform if they were fighting anyways. Nicely done.

Comes from being a Canadian myself, I suppose. Though I have to admit, every time I tell an American that 'No, we don't live in igloos, I don't own a parka, and the only one that's said that word is you', I always love the expression on their faces.

It's hilarious what they think of us. Every time an American asks me where I live, when I respond Canada, they throw in an 'eh' somewhere there. Then I ask them how to spell it. It's 'ay' apparently.

Haha. I've noticed they always add at least one 'eh' in once they known you're Canadian, but I didn't realize most thought it was spelt that way. I think I've actually heard more 'eh's from Americans imitating Canadians than anything else...

Weeeell, if you pay attention to most of the adults who have either grown up or were born in Canada, they seem to say it a lot more then anyone younger. I point it out every now and then when someone says 'eh', but I don't say it without trying to. It's not really one of those things that just slips out of your mouth without notice.

The thing is, the jacket actually is part of the uniform at times. Although no, it isn't worn when it's not cold (because contrary to popular belief, it's not winter here all year round -you should know that since your profile says you live here- but Hetalia *is* based on stereotypes and our winters do last fairly long).
I know of other people who have an issue with the parka, but they always draw a hood on it, making it look more like a winter jacket than anything, when the actual uniform he's drawn in doesn't have the hood -the collar is much like America's bomber jacket -the gun holsters help as well.
Just sayin'. I'm generally a picky person -I do that.
Anyway, now that I've said that, I do quite like the change. Yes, the jacket is part of the uniform, but it's not worn when it's not cold >:/
I also like how he actually looks like he can kick some ass. It gets frustrating trying to find a picture where he doesn't look like he's about to cry, or a completely clueless cutie.

I'm just pointing out that the jacket *was* part of the uniform -not many people actually in Canada know that (it's just not something many of us really think about because we know that our winters don't last year round). I was also pointing out that as a Canadian, you would know that it's not winter here all year round and that's why *you* of all people would know that the parkas aren't worn constantly.
And if you read the second paragraph, you would know that I was not "hatting" on the picture.
Seriously, go back and read that last paragraph again if you have to.
