the actualy piece is 20 x 10. so there's quite a bit cropped. but oh well.my scanner ate the colors anyway. uhg.
i colored it. and it took me three days. i REALLY need to practice pencils more. *winces at the scratchy background*
as the title says, i worked my ass off.
EDIT: Hell! i forgot to color the butterfly. uuuuhg.

my god.. that truly is amzing.. especially for the size it is... i cant draw that big to save my life!! you should definetely make this into a poster or something cause i bet people would buy it. Your coloring is not as bad as you think.. you blend pretty well and the bg is the only thing lacking.. but something that big would have gotten on my nerves too

yah it looks like a lot of work 
actually, i think the directions of the lines in the background do a lot for the image. gets the eyes moving, and reminds you that this is done by hand, not a machine. It's nice to see human qualities in art. the overall design is very splendid.

Very nice. How is it you've managed to get a +fav already, but no comments?! I love the subtle reference to the various seasons and how she comingles with all of them, and the sun reference behind her, very niftish. You have a very good eye for color. The purple and the yellow (love those complimentary colors) and the comingling (hmm, word of the day, it would seem) of the warm and cool colors, and the switching of the colors on the sleeves (had you meant to do that?). I, too, agree with your assessment to work on colored pencils, but this is definitely a good beginning. Also, you may want to work on mixing colors more. Like for the branches, adding that purple to the shadows to give them more depth, and adding the yellow to the highlights on the branches (mixing the complimentary colors in will give it an extra punch and make it look more like a whole picture, and not just two or three put together). Very well done. I like!
