Loved this character as a kid, even though I was only exposed to the 40s cartoons a few times in my early childhood. By the time I was five years old, he seemed to just disappear for some reason. There was an 80s cartoon however due to an rather controversial episode where Mighty Mouse sniffs up a pulverized flower. (getting rather happy afterwords) Parent thought it was some sort of cocaine reference. Even though they cut that couple seconds of footage for later airings, the show just couldn't last. Which is a shame, cause I've only just started watching it on Youtube and it's a freak'n riot! XD And from what I can tell. Mighty only seemed happy, because the flower itself reminded him of the girl he bought the flower from in the first place. He wasn't getting high. certainly not from a simple flower.

All the aside, The show itself has a lot of stupid/random moments, but by the end of each episode, you will get the joke they tried to convey, or at least why everything was happening. It's a cartoon that never took itself seriously, because the characters in the show KNOW they are a cartoon. (there's a lot of 4th wall breaking.) There are even a few episodes where a character (usually an antagonist) is purposely drawn and animated poorly. and for someone who can recognize that, I found it HILARIOUS! So check out "Mighty Mouse, the New Adventures.". If you enjoy watching something like the Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog. You'll LOVE this.
