"It was a gloomy, foggy morning.. when I had heard the Horns and Bells of Zebulos sounding their alarm.. I made haste to the King, Me and my Fellow Rocket Knights, my brothers... Our King ordered us to defend the City and all of the Villages..

He said that our Kingdom was under Attack of the Devotindos.. Those horrid Pigs... They would never let up... Always trying to take over our land for their own horrid purposes.. and Harassing our Kingdom over some kind of Key... I dare not ask what they would want this 'key' for.. I fear that it is something too horrible to fathom.

Upon hearing my orders, I then ordered a good number of my brothers to go ahead and defend the surrounding villages. Meanwhile, the rest of us would defend the City and the castle.. But by the time we had secured the City and the citizens from danger... I learned that something had gone horribly wrong..

I was informed, by one of my brothers who had returned from his mission, that he saw what looked like fire on the way back.. One of the Villages had been completely destroyed, and I feared the worst for He who was sent to defend that village.. and for the people who lived there...

Knowing that the Devotindos had long since fled... I flew too the village.. An amber glow serving as an eerie guide. Once there... I searched for survivors.. Everyone there was dead, including one of my brothers, who had apparently died in vain to protect the people of this village.

It was a dreadful sight.. and I felt as though I only had myself to blame.. So many ways this could have been prevented.. I had not thought of a single one of them in time.. After burying all of the villagers.. and my comrade.. I still found not even one survivor... All I could do, was hang my head in sorrow, as I walked away from the still burning wreckage..

As the Leader of the Rocket Knights, I had failed.. Succeeded in protecting the City and the Castle.. but failed to save this one little village.. I was utterly ashamed of myself.. Constantly asking myself where I had gone wrong... It wasn't long, before a sound coming from the thick fog caught my attention..

I had heard someone crying.. a Young Boy! I urgently followed the sound of his sad voice until I finally found TWO young boys.. Their clothes were tattered and torn, One of the boys was shorter and possibly younger than the other.. This boy was the one I had heard crying.. The other Boy seemed to be in shock, at least until he saw me approaching.. He then immediately tried to act as tough as possible, as if to intimidate me.

Upon asking the two boys a few questions, I soon learned their names.. Sparkster, with blonde hair wearing blue, was the youngest of the two. I wasn't sure why at the time.. but for some reason he kept glancing at my blue Goggles... Then there was Axel, The angry one with red hair. They had both lost their families to the raid, and had managed to escape the raid into the fog.

Axel would not tell me more than that.. Though he was angry, and accused me of not helping his people. He also said that His Father, who happened to be the Rocket Knight I had just buried not too long before.. Died because no one else came to help..

Sparkster's parents on the other hand.. He did not witness their fate... He had been told to run away before the Pigs caught them.. He only just happened to run into Axel some time after.. The Poor boy.. I had never seen anyone look so miserable...

I tried comforting them, and offered to take them in.. Sparkster took no time to accept.. but Axel took some Convincing..

'I don't need another father!' Axel shouted followed by... 'I need to get stronger and avenge my father's death!'

That was it, I knew how to convince Axel to come with me. I made both him, and Sparkster a promise.. that when they got older, I would help them get stronger, and that they would someday be Rocket Knights if they truly wanted.. Axel was reluctant.. but it somehow moved him... He tried so hard not to cry. He crossed his arms, flicked his tail, bit his lip, and even tried to keep his ears up.. but he couldn't help but shed a tear...

He soon gave into my offer, and So.. I took both of them into my home, and from that point on, They were not only my sons... They would also become my star pupils.."
