Next round will mark the 3rd anniversary of our Ahadi roleplaying group!
I'm the ST, and this is a little gift to our awesome players.
Here they are, warriors of Gaia past and present. I'm sorry that I couldn't paint all characters in detail but this pic already filled an A3 sheet and I had to limit the number of characters somehow. So I decided that characters who'd been inactive for a long time now or played very seldom would be turned into little paintings, too and only the currently active characters would be painted.

Behold Paka`s „non-pride“ how they refer to themselves. Because they have no pack totem and nobody ever wanted to do the final step and give up their independence.

Now who are these awesome folks?

The golden lion is Paka, rank 2 Mayi'o Simba. He's taken leadership of the pride. With a clear vision, sharp wits and unending patience he tries to keep this bag of fleas together. Nobody ever thanked him for that. Some say he talks too much, some say he's too calm for a true Simba. But they know why they don't say that to his face – because he's still perfectly capable of clawing theirs off. In his human life, Paka is a development aid worker. He's played by MafunDi.

The black jackal/wolf is M'Shai, rank 2 Silent Striders Ahroun. He's the non-pride's beta and is very skilled in taking too uppity pack members down a notch with his sarcasm or just blunt honesty. M'Shai is obsessed with sweet tea and always has a cup of it ready, even in the deepest wilderness. Enemies fear his strength, often unexpected and creative fighting style and his skill with the khopesh. M'Shai's human heritage seems to be Bedouin but he can't really remember. Played by *oliverfox

The very black cat is Sephot, a rank 1 Bubasti. He's a very educated, smart and pure-bred Egyptian man who was sent to find potential allies for the rescue of his feline kinfolk. He's a hard-working, thorough person but a bit hard to read. He wants to be respected and acknowledged by the pack, which is hard when you're the only notable brain worker among muscle-packed warriors. He's also got an unhealthy fascination with Wyrm lore, vampires and magic. He's played by Raku.

The brown lion is Hunts-without-a-sound, a rank 1 feline-born Amadu'o Simba. He's constantly struggling with Paka's methods and generally everyone around him and is happiest when he can take his anger out on some not too dangerous foe. He hasn't really decided for himself if the Ahadi is a good thing that should be lead by the Amadu'o or if it's just a pact of cowards. He's still pretty young but already a formidable warrior – if he thinks the cause is worth the effort. He's played by ~KovuWolfszahn

The patterned lioness is Ascar, a rank 1 metis-born Simba. What bloodline of the tribe she belongs to will probably never be found out, but since she's very calm and patient for a Simba it's probably Mayi'o. Ascar has a strong connection to the spirit world and an inert curiosity for the supernatural. She's shaping up to be a fantastic ritemaster. She's also fiercely convinced of the idea of the Ahadi and defends the code with both words and deeds. However, a constant insecurity caused by her birth and her deformities guides her actions. Played by ~Celeun

The black rat is Dr. Grey, a rank 1 metis-born Ratkin. In his human existence he's a doctor with a so-so rate of success. He belongs to a small and threatened minority of the Ratkin that believe that joining up with the Ahadi would be a good thing. In fact, this young Plague Lord has set his goals as high as toppling Lord Ebola, and the other Fera have turned out very handy in this. He's chosen a dangerous path that has led him right into the middle of the political chaos of Africa's shapeshifters. Played by Cifer.

The bear is Dr. Aericon, a rank 1 River Keepers Gurahl. He's one of the brightest and most brilliant medics in the world. Equipped with that knowledge, a strong will and an open and quick-moving mind, he helped the non-pride on their mission to save the last Kyphur cats. His main problem is that he's slower than everyone else in the pack and doesn't see too well in the dark – bad if your company is mostly cats. On the upside he's almost indestructible and neigh impossible to corrupt. The pack don't really know yet how precious their new companion is. Played by Si.

And last but not least, the cheetah is Livyenne, a rank 2 feline-born Swara. She's an emotional and pretty deep character. On the other hand she's also able to motivate the pack whenever she's the first to take action or successfully puts defeatists and stubborn packmembers in their place. Liv is very energetic, independent and strong-willed and on one occasion saved the entire pack's life. She's also favored by the spirits and often receives visions or knowledge from them. In her human life, now getting more and more marginal, she used to be a thief. She's played by ~SiranaJHelena

And now on to the past pack-members. The lower three haven't really gone forever but are inactive most of the time or on hiatus.
The wild dog is Heart-of-Gold, a rank 1 lupus-born Kucha Ekundu Galliard. As the name says she is very pure of heart and the nicest Talon you'll ever meet. Traveling with the pack has been a painful experience for her most of the time – the deliberate cruelty and treason that's normal among non-animals hurt her a lot. She was played by ~Kirauni
The black wolf is Sheila, a rank 1 Silent Striders Ahroun. She's a biker lady with her heart in the right place. She can break necks with one hand but is caring and honorable on the other side. She used to be Wolfszahn's mentor and had a good influence on him – until she left without warning. She's only recently returned to the pack. Played by ~moments-of-peace
The dinosaur is Firesinger, a rank 1 Gumagan Mokolé who came from Australia. He occasionally crosses the non-pride's path, usually with the force of a hurricane and usually someone dies, or almost dies. He's played by Brego.
The upper six pictures represent pack members who'll probably never return or have died.
The cheetah was Layn, a rank 2 Swara. He was a fierce and independent character who had great difficulties fitting into the group, especially under the leadership of a lion. It eventually got better and Layn proved his worth over and over, but after Wolfszahn's death he left the group, disappointed. He was played by Raku.
The snow leopard was Tian Shan a traveling rank 1 Bagheera from Tibet. He was very calm and laid-back and wore a wide robe in which the most peculiar things had their place. The whole Ahadi thing turned out to be too much testosterone, drama and fuss for him, so he probably returned to his cold home. He was played by *leopatra-lionfur
The white wolf was Wolfszahn, a rank 1 Fianna Theurge. Far from home, lost and tossed into the confusions of the world, the youngster was constantly torn between his struggle for respect and trust and his loathing of all the rules that came with it. He put the non-pride into embarrassing to downright dangerous situations – then he learned the hard way how problems are solved out there in the wilderness. He was killed by his own packmates. He was played by ~KovuWolfszahn
The fox was Vauvenal, a rank 1 Kitsune Kataribe from Sweden. She was a shy one but felt deeply and passionately for her new friends. She wasn't however prepared for the weight of the events that happened or the burden of the responsibility she'd have to take on as an Ahadi member. She left eventually, which troubled many of the pack. She was played by ~Vauvenal
The raven was Asagi, a rank 1 Corax. His sarcasm and constantly cheerful mood are missed in the pack. But after he'd delivered the death blow to his former friend Wolfszahn the raven had to get away from it all for a while and figure out how he'd live with the guilt. He was a valuable pack member and was played by ~Celeun .
And finally, the black-backed jackal was no player character but our sorely missed co-storyteller =KebiJackal without whom the group would never have come to be. Kebi was a fount of cool ideas and most memorable NPCs. After almost three years with the group he lost interest in roleplaying games altogether and left for good.
