Tablet Wacom Graphire 3. I think with tablets, since pen tool is mainly used for vectoring, you no longer need an Intuos (which is expensive).

This is just a simple looking piece but yet so effective and pleasing to the eye!
I must ask though is it from a sketch then "traced" in to illustrator or was it straight in Illustrator?

All my vector girls originate from sketches. The only time I do direct rendering is when painting/drawing traditionally. : ) I'm more traditionally inclined but I just really like making vector art.

I just like everything to be well-planned. I draw much faster with pencil, so it's easy to just know exactly what I want done in illustrator before I actually, well, work in illustrator. It may differ with others, but this is what works best for me.
