Sometimes when drawing princesses the uniform body shape starts to annoy me and I go off and sketch different ones just to vent quietly to myself...pencil drawings, digital colour

Tiana seems the same but for her glasses. Rapunzle makes sense actually: growing up in 1 room your whole life would make you chunky. Jasmine is much thinner, without squeezing the waist from her body (that scentance almost went awry) but I’m not sure what’s holding up her top now. I’m all for different boob sizes (as long as it’s not stupidly large breasts) but that outfit is defying gravity because she has no hips either. I adore Pocahontas’ muscles, I wouldn’t kick her out of bed. Belle also seems right as fuller forms were sexy in “the olden days”.

it's funny because, almost all disney princesses look like they are around 17 yrs old, and well almost all have the same shape... (but Merida 
with these different shapes some look younger and some older xD
Jasmine really looks like a young teen, and Tiana and Rapunzel like moms xDD

Rapunzel looks adorable! It also makes sense. She's been stuck in a small tower all her life. How on earth would she NOT put on a little bit of weight. lol.
I also love that you gave Tiana glasses. We need more princess with glasses...

Well tbf I'm not surprised that she's thin, the tower is in the middle of nowhere and she would had only had what food Mother Gothel brought over to eat. Pretty sure Pizza Hut didn't deliver to there either. I'm more amazed that she hasn't suffered some kind of development problems from a vitamin D deficiency, muscle deterioration due to limited excercise or something else like that. She is very short though especially when placed next to her mum and dad which is strange because by age 18 she should be at or very close to her final height. Maybe I'm just reading too much into this.... really it was just probably the character designers going oh yeah she needs to be 18 to be legal to marry but hey lets make her have the figure of a 14-year old girl so little girls identify with her more easily. /shrug
In any case I'd just like a little more variance in Disney princess physiques. I mean there are differences between them but in the grand scheme of real body shape variance there's sod all. Disney can preach "every girl is a princess" all they want but unless they visually act on it it's all meaningless. I mean jeez, Merida is closest to normal body shape they've had and soon as she hit the official princess line-up the merchandise art of her was put on a diet. The new Pocahontas design images I have seen are also slimmer and less muscular than the film version (which wasn't even buff, just looked like someone who runs around a lot..). Pocahontas on the merchandise also seems to have lost 2 cup sizes.

Yeeeeah. I only meant it as a joke, but you raise valid points I hadn't thought of. I figured that because she was baking a ton of pies and cookies in her tower ( rapunzelpictureparadise.files.… ), she had all the food she needed/wanted.... I actually had a vitamin D deficiency last year. Had no vitamin D in me at all. Quite scary actually... I do like your picture and thoughts behind it! I hope you didn't read wrongly into that joke...

I love this. Rapunzel looks so adorable, Pocahontas looks more accurate and beautiful, Belle is beautiful with the extra "stuffing", Tiana looks like a geeky librarian and I really like Jasmine.
