Yes, I need to start on my manga. No, this isn't it. This is a page I was going to use for another story that I found and wanted to finish. It also gave me some idea of which pen I DON'T want to use. Regardless, here it is, you can laugh at my crappy ink job and terrible choice of fonts. (Actually, Garamond is one of my favorites.)Related content

I actually really like the ink job here. I like that added roughness, and think you should pursue it; unless it was a pain in the butt to handle, of course, haha.

it was a bit daunting, I'm used to handling a very fine point and going very slowly and carefully, but I used a calligraphy tip on this and it forces you to go faster, making me a bit sloppier. But I think I might keep playing around with it. Speed is good when you're tryign to do lots and lots of manga pages . . .

No no no I like your choice of font! D: I mean, sure it could be better, but it really adds simplicity and formality to the scene.
The context somewhat confuses me, but I love the added fine details with their hair and fingers/hands. You're always so good with penstrokes... :3

considering it was supposed to be the very end of the story, you hae every right to be confused. The story would have been about a girl's struggle through both high school and depression, and teh guy she clung to, the guy she thought understood her because he showed her compassion, and how to live. Not a love story, in the traditional sense. Also, how it impacted the girl when the guy said 'stop, I can't be your strength forever.'

I actually like Adobe Garamond Pro the best. Other favorite fonts include arial, Helvetica, zud juice, and jenkins 2.0.

My favorite font, actually was some mac font. Cochin. but it's mac only. Garamond is similar.

It's awfully dramatic, but your manga style looks very good! The detail in the hands is great.

well, the story was originally going to be based on my life in high school, where I spent 3 years depressed, and literally clinging on to a guy friend. Well, I kind of destroyed our relationship and almost destroyed myself too, but now we're actually friends again . . . even though he's boyfriends with one of my other good friends . . . .
so yeah, its kind of a dramatic story (even though I hate drama). I may still some day pen it, though.

...Well life experience can work well...Even if it's unfortunate. 
Oh. Yes, I'm no great shakes with drama. Although if you don't like drama, thus do not use it as much, this "dramatic" story could be cool if you decide to write it.

I should say I hate 'shallow drama,' or 'high school drama.' and even thoguh this all took place during high school, it wasn't a 'oh, does he like me, will he sleep with me,' drama, it was a drama about the value of my own life, and his.
