Description
This is one of the guitarists from Bioshpia. I don't really know much about that band except for that they are relatively new. :3
But anyways, this is my first full out portrait of someone. I decided to try something new, something more realistic to see if i had the ability to shade with color (correctly). Of course there are plenty of flaws, but for my first realistic painting I think it's pretty good :/
It took me about a whole day (including breaks). I started at about 11 am ish and ended at 3 am (lol). My hand hurts really bad .

Program: GIMP (no tablet)
During creating this I started to discover the problems with gimp. Most specifically how unsmooth it was (smudge tool was very blocky, brushes as well). So if you are also using GIMP then i recommend trying to blend things with either blur or using different shades of color (that's how i blended most of the skin and clothing). Of course the smudge tool isn't completely useless, but it doesn't work as good when you are trying to blend larger areas.

ALSO I must apologize for his hair XD. no tablet=trying to do every single strand by mouse, making it squiggly.
