Description He gasped in pain and clutched his chest, as if a searing fire shot through it. He croaked and bent over in an unnatural fashion, some unseen force bending and breaking him.
A pretty brunette rushed to his side with a cry of concern as he collapsed, her flowing locks swooping about her, gleaming off the moon, with him kicking and twitching on the floor. She took him into her arms and tried to shake him out of the seizure-like spasms he’d been reduced to.
She glared in vehemence at a red-haired 8 year old girl.
“Demitria! How could you?!”
Demitria looked at her with a mixture of a scowl and slack-jawed incredulousness.
“…Really?” Her clipped tone made Terrwyn, the brunette, glare at her impatiently, while Felix flailed in her arms.
“Demitria, you know that upsets him.” She said patronizingly, all the while Felix squirmed. She kept her grip on him when he jerked and flinched.
“OH COME ON!! Are you serious? You know he’s playing, right?!” Demitria’s small voice rose and she flung her arms up in exasperation.
Terrwyn flicked her head to the side, not looking at her, dramatically, of course.
“Doesn’t matter. You shouldn’t have. You only said that to get on his nerves.”
“Felix is a Malkav, not a fairy. It doesn’t count on him!” Demitria was pissed, she really just wanted Felix to leave, not pose a death scene in her home. Felix gurgled as his eyes rolled back.
Terrwyn snapped her head back to Demitria with an intense stare.
“Fix it.” When Demitria balked, she added, “He’ll keep it up. I just might join him.” A mischievous smile slid on her face.
Demitria sighed with resignation. She knew Terrwyn would, she could be SO stubborn.
“Fine. Felix I know faeries exist.” All he did was twitch with more gurgling.
“That’s not how it wOOOooooorks…” Terrwyn sung in a playful way, the angelic voice hammering home her point. Demitria physically slumped. She felt like SHE was the one dying.
Demitria clapped her little hands, repeatedly.
Felix spun out of Terrwyn’s arms with a beaming smile, and gave several dramatic bows. He held a hand to Terrwyn, and helping her up with a flare, they both gave several more to accentuate their good show. As they celebrated each other for an amazing performance with giggling and gallantry, Demitria pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. She felt her fingers itch for gunmetal right about now.
She was dying inside. From silly-ness and shame.
