Bwahahahaha! Kirby Marrow wrote on it and now I don't hate it as much! The background on this was hot foooking pink for three days until I was able to fix it. Never underestimate the power of magenta. Originally I was going to use black over the super bright bg and then lift some to reveal the under color (I have no idea whether this works or not, I just wanted to try it) but halfway through I realised that if I did that, it would be too dark for him to sign. The hand is messed up, but I was under a major time crunch so I had to leave it as it was. The ref pic is from an ad for the card game that was in Anime Insider. Watercolor pencils and copic multiliners. ^_^Related content

Thanks! I had an idea that needed that awful pink for a undercolor - then had to change midstream. XD There was no saving it.

I like the color scape in this one, and this is the first drawing I've seen Miroku's wind tunnel and NO wind! O.O (Which, believe it or not, is a compliment, because I'm finally JUST seeing the tunnel, you know?) And, well, my first thought about that tunnel wasn't all that sophisticated.
"Hm... Looks like the perfect hole to throw fries in..."
My bad. -.-' BUT I STILL LOVE IT, DESPITE MY RANDOM THOUGHTS ABOUT FRIES! XD

Yeah, it totally ruined it. If I wasn't in such a time crunch I would have tried harder to fix it. I should have just gone with my original idea and bought a silver pen. Ahh, hindsight.

Yep! Color away! Just drop me a note when it's finished, so I can see it. ^_^ Actually, I do all my lineart with pen and paper, and then just make my hubby scan it before I color. Computer art intimidates me. *giggles*

Yes, hands are a pain. Man, there are times when I think I got the hand thing going, then I go on a slump.
I can imagine that black overlay you were intending to put. I think it would put emphasis on the "vortex" his hand has.
But, hey, this is one neat work.

You are absolutely correct. That background is perhaps one of the worst that I have seen in my entire life. It is truly terrible.
But, even ignoring the background, there are still a few other problems with this deviation.
Miroku's pinky finger is clearly misaligned, giving the entire hand the appearance that someone crushed it in battle.
Also, his face is slightly, just ever so slightly lopsided, and his nose is both low and a little bit off center.
Other than that, there isn't much else that's wrong. Try again, perhaps. This deviation might be better served in the scraps pile.
Sorry I had to be so harsh, but this is well beneath the level of most of your usual work.

*glomps* I've been looking forward to this since I posted it. *giggles* I knew you'd be one of about three people who would notice what's wrong with the hand. I reall hate trying to foreshorten those things. (oh well, at least it's pratice, right?) You really should have seen the background before I fixed it. If you think it's ugly now... *laughs* I really need to think things through before I try a new idea on something. Changing it mid-way through can be a disaster. How have you been?

I've been great. I actually have been in Japan for quite some time now, hence the absence. I love the way you make it sound like my critiques are the best things in the world. You have to understand, I can't draw worth crap, so usually i wonder if i know what i'm talking about at all.

*giggles* I really do love a nice honest crituque. You do them wonderfully -- pointing out the good and the bad without ever being abusive. That's a rare thing to find. You do know what you are talking about. Often it's the people who don't draw who are the most suited to being objective. Where are you in Japan?
