Description This is actually the first time I've drawn a ceratopsian! I'm unsure how likely it is that pachyrhinosaurus was feathered, but I thought the shaggy look would be a fun experiment.

Psittacasaurus has some evidence that suggests tail/hunch quills, but not much else I can think of has suggested a fluffy or bristly ceratopsian. However, it's a cool concept. I usually stand by this for paleoart (and art in general now that I think about it): If it's for fun, artistic license and not education/trying to be accurate for accuracy's sake, the artist can do what they want.

Yeah! I know theres no hard evidence to suggest it was feathered, but I've seen a lot of shaggy tundra-esque ceratopsian reconstructions going around recently and I think I've developed a soft spot for it. Like you said, sometimes more unorthodox depictions are a lot of fun!

For sure! And sometimes it's fun to see a four-legged floof-feather-ball waddling around.

Gorgeous! I love those colours. And the fluff too! Also don’t know if these guys would have any bristly feathers. But this sure looks good.

Thanks so much!
I believe there's evidence of very primitive feathers on some ceratopsians, but not something as thick as I've drawn here. But it's fun to imagine what it /could/ be like :>
