They say that every rose has its thorn. This sodegarami (袖搦 sleeve entangler), a type of man-catcher is no different. It is seven feet tall, with a Stygian metal head made of multiple barbed heads facing forwards and backwards. Its shaft is made of oak wood, with a ruby red rose at the head's bottom center. There are Stygian metal spikes below the head on the green jade cover below the rose to prevent the captured opponent from grabbing the weapon. At the other end of the weapon is a gold cap.

It actually is used by law enforcement in all the southeastern and eastern kingdoms to entangle the sleeves and clothing of fleeing criminals, not as a lethal weapon. Even the rose ornament and spikes on the sodegarami have a secret: They are sometimes coated with a fragrant chemical that slows down the target's speed.
