This is absolutely brilliant. I can't help but wonder if the Inkthings are really just lost souls, or maybe even damned ones. I know Kande claimed he met God and was punished for questioning, so maybe that's what happened to the rest, and they slowly got sucked into the abyss? And then I know Atli can sense God, or at least claims to do so, but I wonder if she's actually the blind one, leading everyone astray, knowlingly or not. Gah! I just need to know and can't wait for the rest!

Ooooooh, I like that blue theme. And Atli's face is awesome: a cross between depressed and "are you f**king kidding me?" Also, I wonder if they every got hungry enough if they would try to eat Kande: he LOOKS like an inkthing, so maybe he IS a big inkthing. Hee hee, King of the Inkthings.
