((Here is a new OC of mine, who is a kind monster named Harvey! All Descriptions below))

Age: Unknown

Species: Used to be human, now unknown

Gender: Male

Main Description: Harvey is a gentle but shy monster, who is a bit ashamed of his appearance. He enjoys soft objects, eating marshmallows, playing hide and seek, cuddling, dancing, coloring, and knitting socks. Harvey also likes wearing the socks that he knits, and sometimes even wears a nightcap, or carries around a blanket with him when he gets cold or lonely.

Physical Description: Grotesque form, though skin is soft to resemble that of a toy. Eyes have a plastic sheen, and so do tongues and teeth. All physical attributes revolve around the appearance of a toy, so Harvey can be more readily welcomed by children.

Purpose: Harvey is a kind monster who visits lonely and abused children to help them overcome their social issues and fit back into society. Harvey is there for them when they need a friend or a shoulder to lean on, and Harvey is there to play with them anytime. He also listens to their problems, and acts as a guiding/parental figure if a child has none.

Backstory: Harvey used to be a child himself, though he was abused by his parents terribly, and received no love from them either. After things began to gradually worsen, eventually one night, Harvey was beat so badly that he died, and his troubled soul could no longer take on the form of a human, but that of a terrifying monster. After that, Harvey vowed to help all children who had suffered similarly, and so set out to help each and every individual child that he could. As Harvey sees a bit of himself in these children, and hopes to one day ease his own troubled soul so that he can finally move on.

At the end of each visit with a child, and after the child has successfully moved on from the troublesome incident, or has learned how to properly deal with their problems, Harvey will give them a special sock as sort of a parting gift. Each sock is different, and holds a different meaning for each situation.

Here is a list of the most common socks given:

Friendship Sock: A sock given to children who have learned the value of friendship.

Rainbow Sock: A sock given to children who have learned how to be true to their own gender, and how to overcome gender stereotyping and prejudice.

Toe Sock: A sock given to children who have overcome many challenges.

Fuzzy Sock: A sock given to children who have learned the value of love and kindness.

White Sock: A sock given to children who have learned how to overcome loneliness.
