Fem!US and UK from APH. They are a boss couple.
Normally, I'm not a huge fan of genderbending, but for Hetalia, here's my take on it: the fem! characters represent the female versions of each country, which are separate from the men, at least for America, because stereotypes of men and women are different. And Hetalia is based on stereotypes, after all. XD

I think your interpretation of Nyotalia is how the creator, Himaruya-sensei, intended them to be from the start. (It's just sometimes it's fun to bend the males into females and vice versa)

If I remember right, he said in an interview that he designed Nyotalia for the fun of it and as if they were individuals distinct from the canon characters (that's why some fanfics and fanart show both genders in them). ^_^
