I went with CreateSpace for mine. Sales are still sorta small, but it's been building ever since I added Smashwords as well. My books are available both as paperbacks and as e-books for pretty much every reader. The drawback is that with those, it's up to you to do all the marketing. I'm terrible at promoting myself and just can't seem to find the time to do anything really worthwhile for marketing. Pretty much all of my advertising has been here on dA.

I checked it last night, you've gotten pretty good reviews so far. I know how the whole marketing process can be a pain in the bottom and it may take you as much time as it took you to write the books in the first place. I also find it very hard to do because I am tremendously shy. So I guess we might as well hang in there and keep trying

Yeah, I'm a sociophobic emo loner myself, so you could imagine just how well that's been working for me. XD And actually, marketing takes waaaay longer for me than writing. I actually wrote Emo Boy, all 36000 words, 180 pages of it, in exactly one week. Hyper-focus...it's a blessing and a curse...
Let's do it to it, girl! Us struggling writers gotta stick together!

That's a good idea, to give yourself a buffer like that. And that was kind of an extreme example, but I do tend to write a little quickly. I just like getting things done all at once. Most short stories and artwork I post here I do in one sitting, no matter how long it takes. And I think the most I've done at once was writing for five hours straight without eating, drinking, or taking any kind of break. The sad thing is, what I wrote then was for a sequel novel to my series and was the only thing that I truly lost when my laptop got fried soon after that. ;^;
