I think the bear on the page is cute. Unless you named the bear Gloomy I don't really find anything depressing about the picture.

When |I saw him from a distance I thought he was playing in the snow until I thought harder and remembered where he lives!

Now I can see it looks like a pencil / crayon sketch. He still has that look on his big round face that I fell in love with...

Is that a shadow on the paper? Maybe the writing could be on the white instead of the shadow...I probably have it all wrong though!
