The amount of details I can mainly thank my good camera equipment. It's what allows me to capture these details in close ups. Without them I couldn't quite get as much details. Especially the indirect flash helps a lot with it.

Scythe is a tool, not a weapon. It can be misused as a weapon like about anything else.

Haha it is rather overused as a weapon in things like anime but in reality it's rather hard to use as such since both control of the thing is rather hard to swing properly and the blade is quite thin

A modified scythe might be a rather mighty weapon, I'd imagine. Change the blade into something thicker and stronger and give it a try in a battle. The foes might see it coming but blocking it is not something they've learned.

Similar, yes but the necessary reflects for the slight changed attack style aren't there which might prove to be fatal. The shape of a pole vs. scythe is rather clear in the end.

Hmmm yes there will be slight exceptions and readjustments needed but generally it's quite similair~ Though the scythe would have slight balance issues as to make the blade thick enough to avoid snapping it would become rather heavy...

Weapons always have their issues, nyaa. Nothing is perfect. Either it is going to be heavy and does much damage or it will be light and won't do so much damage etc. Different shapes do have their advantages but also weaknesses. Two edges vs. one edge etc. The list goes on till we die, I'd say.
Personally, in the current day and age I think the looks is what matters the most. The real life use can be neglected as no one is going to misuse them like that anymore. They're more like art pieces used to decorate your home.

yeah that is quite true, though as far as the forging procces goes i'de say the one used for japanese katanas is generaly the best becose of the combination of hard and softcarbon steel for optimum performance of the blade~^^
Yeah close quarter weapons are generaly indefective versus guns these days, though they do still look rather nice~

Yeah theres no longer any skill in battle since at best its pointing a metal rod at the enemy and pulling the triger and at worse simply pushing a button>.>....

Oh yes...the only knife I didn't dare to test out on my own skin to see how sharp it is. Sliced raw potatoes like warm knife slices butter.

Got my whetstone which means I can now sharpen all the knives found inside this apartment. So far the results have been pretty good. Definitely not quite as sharp as that one Japanese knife but I think that's be cause I don't have a smooth enough stone to get that razor sharp polish on it. Plus my technique is far from perfect so far.

I know, I've "cooked" alcohol. All it took was some yeast, sugar and water. Pretty damn simple. Plus the result was pretty damn decent compared to the price/quality ratio.
