I'm doing a Stormlight Archive tarot card set and this is the ninth card I finished. When I started these I didn't match the characters to any actual tarot card meanings, but I recently decided to make it a full set! In this set Venli is the Tower.-Used Paint Tool Sai and XP-Pen artist 16
-characters are from the Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. It's really good, I highly recommend

Well, of course she's the Tower. Love the alignments/associations/whatever you call the names of tarot cards (look, I like fanart tarot decks: I never said I understood tarot) you've chosen for everyone. So far, they're dead on! And I love how alien you've made Venli's facial structure. I could never get a clear mental image of the Listeners - because I'm a Star Trek nerd, I think I was seeing them as Klingons with heavy biological armor - but I do like this version, a lot!
...wait, you've tagged this image as "Singers". Am I misremembering? I thought they were Listeners. There's a lot of Stormlight Archive to keep track of, and it's late, so I may be.

I'm glad you like them!! I'm still working on the other cards, but here are the characters I matched them with (The X's are the one's I've already done):

the magician - Shallan (creation, willpower, manifestation) X
the high priestess - Jasnah (intuition, inner knowledge) X
the empress - Navani (motherhood, fertility, nature)

I think (I'm not sure) that Eshonai may refer to her new, action-taking radicals as "Singers" and Venli thinks of her people as they have been as "Listeners". There does seem to be an active/passive distinction there. So maybe they're both right?

I looked it up and apparently the Parshmen as a whole are called singers, and the Parshendi/Listeners are an ethnicity of singers. So basically Singers is the species, and the Listeners are a group within that species.
