Hello, this is what our chat had to say regarding this piece

interesting piece. he thinks its stupid and a failure
i like it. but i dont' like how the hand looks all cracked
redheadedbrod: I think he is a little to hard on himself
and in the left middle bottom there is some weird square thing going on
the hand is textured as a cliff. the waves crashing upon it

well that would be some weird texture. and i didn't realize it was like a cliff texture. it doens't look very cliff like to me

it definatly give u the feeling of want to reach out fo the hand
towards the bottom on the fingers where the water is, it just looks like a smear, it doesn't look right

it would be a neat thing to photograph in scale model
i also just noticed that the clouds look kinda weird
kinda like they don't fit into the picture well

the mixture of textures and emotions and symbols is all confusing. perhaps that is what his intention was
I see where u mean musicismylife1233 although I do think that at some point during a storm the horizon tends to blend
I'd simply say that it is an interesting concept that was not fully implemented to its potential

I think I may understand why you feel this is "badly implemented" however... that aside the concept alone makes this a wonderful piece to enjoy visual and with great imagination. I only see minor graphical issues ( possibly a blending issue with the water just below the wrist to the left near edge) but other than that I think is a great piece.
