After a visit to the Incan site at Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley we walked through the streets of the town and found the cafe on the left with an Incan aqueduct channel running down the centre of the street. The Incan's had an incredible network of aqueducts throughout their settlements for irrigation, drinking and washing water. Β Seeing this I just had to get down and get a low angle shot looking back up the street where the channel flowed underneath a cross street.Canon 500D with Canon EF-S 18-55mm at 18mm 1/80s @ f5.6 ISO100

This pulled in as a "similar image" while I was browsing some realistic art . . . and the colors were so vivid - and the perspective of the drainage ditch so extreme - (plus the sparkling water therein) - that I didn't realize it was a photo until I zoomed in! I thought it was just a particularly excellent example of detailed, photorealistic art . . . really nice colors and composition.

Thanks, I'm pleased you like it. Β I've increased the vividness of the image a little, but the colours were quite bright on the day. Β When I saw the aqueduct running down the street I knew that the lower angle would be an attention grabber, so just had to get down low for this shot.
