Rites of Passage
The Generosity and Camaraderie of StrangersSinokyo looked at the small pile of food that was left. He was worried about Crepuscular, who hadn't eaten since he woke up. Every time Sinokyo tried to get him to eat, the amoux just shook his head and went back to sleeping. Whe'taki was out scouting for others who had survived the cataclysmic flood. She wouldn't be back for another hour. Sinokyo shifted his coils and grabbed a small piece of food, bite size for the amoux. He nudged Crepuscular with his head, and all he got was an eyelid cracking open before closing again. He nudged him again, harder this time. CrepuscularΒ bared his teeth and asked what he wanted. Whe'taki didn't allow herself time to dwell over it, The FloodThe clouds loomed in the distance. Whe'taki was flying as fast as she could to find somewhere, anywhere, to take shelter. Every time she looked back at the storm to gauge its distance, a sharp pang of fear coursed through her. She could feel the mountains closing in on her as they rose higher and higher. She started to frantically look for a cave, or an alcove. There was no way she could out fly the storm. She could already see the river swelling from the storm water upstream. It wouldn't be long for it be a complete flood. The mountain sides became a canyon, the river carving its way through the very heart of the mountains. At last she saw a save worth sheltering in. As she flew towards it she saw something precariously climbing up the steep mountainside cliffs.Β
Sinokyo clung to the slick rock as best he could. He could feel his coils slipping and sliding almost everywhere. A screeching sound above him nearly scared him into letting go. He saw a creature that looked almost like
