Description I know it's another cliche image, but it was really hard getting to this spot. It was hidden way back in a hiking trail, and I worked hard to get here, so I'm gonna post this image and be pleased with it anyway. My one problem with it? No sense of scale. Rather than a really narrow bridge, it just looks like those two nails at the front are giant. this is not so.

it's a pretty nifty path, I'll tell you that right now. Nothing like some good fall hikin over tiny bridges, that make you wonder how they were built in the first place. Who builds these things? I'dl ike to build one, but i don't think I would trust my workmanship. why did i trust the builder of this that it was safe. all excellent questions, and ones to be pondered wen i'm not dead tired. Now I sleep.

thanks for the comment

Perhaps because the bridge remains. It's almost immortal. An image of time and life.

You should stop being so critical! This is great, it's so beautiful I just want to walk around out there. Very pretty, and the title is so perfect.

no no, one must be critical of their own work. it makes it easier when other people are. Plus if you can't see the problems, you won't be able to improve. I like this shot, I just wish you could get more of a feeling of scale, but the only way to do taht would be to put a person on the bridge, however that would maek them the subject and i wouldn't want that.

I'm far from a pro but I like how the whole thing looks. The perspective makes it look like the bridge is reaaaaally long (maybe it is). I agree that a person in the shot would take away from it all.

path leads to more wonderful traills. I enjoy a good hike, but living in the wonderful canada there's hardly any time for hiking. I had the idea of going to the bridge each season to do shots, but I have since forgotten how to get back to it. Which is probably for the best. leaves me with that "road not taken" type of feeling... although i would have to get rid of all the metaphoric meaning in that poem to end up with those thoughts, but still _
