I'm sure some of you may recall this charming fellow from that ancient anime Yu Yu Hakusho.I remember watching it when it was on Toonami around 8 years ago although I could hardly remember anything that happened. Recently I decided I wanted to go rewatch all those old-ish anime that I saw when I was younger.
I finished the series a few weeks ago and all I can think is, That Anime is F*cking Amazing. And it actually has a main character I don't hate xD Yoshihiro Togashi, you are brilliant.
As the story got more indepth and all the major characters were introduced, I realized I never forgot their names, even though I hadn't heard them for over 8 years, it's kind of weird.
I totally loved Kuwabara, he's so damn funny, but of course I couldn't resist the charm of Kurama once he was introduced. Though I can't help but chuckle every time he yells, "Rose WHIP!" lol I think he's what started the feminine anime boy look.
Since then I've also watched .HackSign which I did not particularly care for, and now I'm currently watching Wolf's Rain which I'm really liking so far.

Kurama/Youko is my fave character from YYH, he should be everyone's, and Wolf's Rain is awesome, it's tied for first place on my fave anime list, you just have to be into animes with complicated storylines and as much existential drama as fighting

It's definitely worth it. I would watch episodes as I was doing my drawing homework and stuff..multitasking <- the way to go, I ended up finishing the series a lot quicker that way.

but yeah I remember that being a fabulous show :'D
and I dont even remember how many episodes there were to wolf's Rain I know not many, But ugh <3 it was gorgeous to me I need to rewatch it

First off, why the heck would they give them English names?
second, wouldn't the fact that he was not wearing a typical girl uniform ie skirt and sailor shirt thingy compared to his fellow schoolmates show he was a guy?
And having realized he was, they probably had to change his voice actor in the Philippines then, right? rofl That's professional

this is absolutely beautiful! the concept is great! this has to be by far one of the best pictures of kurama and yoko together. it really does show there yin yang relationship, and how they are still connected with each other.

Now this is truly a ghost from the past. 
I had the same experience of watching on Adult Swim when it first premiered and finished all the way to the end through DVD. And yes, this anime IS freakin' amazing! The different intriguing story arcs, the unforgettable characters and the mind-blowing action ~ It is definitely one of the very best shows I had to pleasure to enjoy and still one of my favorites today.
Kuwabara and Yuusuke were my favorites, but I liked me some Kurama too ;D
I really like you contrasted his past life with his present-day self with the split scenery; having chaos & macabre associated with his past and serenity & beauty associated with his new personality but including how he's still entangled because of his demonic nature. It seems that way to me, anyway 
But anyway, really awesome work you have here!

Yu Yu Hakusho was and is one of my favorites. I consider it the grandfather of the 'mystic team' anime- including things like Bleach. Those four and their development were just so goddamn amazing.

Oh yes, I remember Toonami so well! Yu Yu was one of my first animes! I prefer Hiei, but I also like Kurama. ^-^
