Australia has been on fire since November, in this time of emergency, the Prime Minister left the country for a holiday, leaving everyone horrified that he would prefer to go to Hawaii than stay and help with the fires in any way shape or form, meanwhile an ex prime minister has been seen as a volunteer fire fighter helping take on the flames. Naval ships have been sent out to help evacuations, as Military have gotten involved with trying to help in this situation, but said troops are more equipped to floods, and are not trained to handle front line firefighting.

Despite not being declared a "national disaster" Australia has lost over 5 million hectares, or 15 million acres. To put that in perspective Ireland is only 6.9 million hectares, and although there is some media coverage, most of it is for New South Wales, yet all of Australia is burning, with hardly anything being reported on in Western Australia. The air quality in Canberra is 23 times the Hazadous level and Batemans Bay was reported to be almost double of Canberras level. What is the PM doing? Well he got back from his holiday, and has since - had lunch with the national cricket team at his waterfront residence, he had guests over to watch the new years fire works.... that's right despite a fire ban, and the nation's cry and the deputy premiers call to not do fireworks due to the condition of the country, making the fire services have to assess fire ban 'exemptions' so yeah the Prime Minister Sucks

I am safe for now, I have been on off alert for evacuation for the last few days as more fires keep appearing. At some hours of the day I can only just make out the next street over. I was so happy to read that they managed to save Mogo zoo and all the animals after volenteers and staff stayed behind in the evacuations to keep the place safe and it has now been confirmed that they are no longer in danger. I try not to watch the news due to the amount of devastation, and honestly with the PM still blaming other political parties I just don't want to see or read what he does next.... well turns out what he did next after I typed this was to force a woman to shake his hand and then walked away when she started asking questions, tried to force a firefighter to shake his hand and many other things... honestly I hate being political but Australia is burning and our PM isn't doing anything.
