The soul seeds are formed from parts of his own essence. Every month he creates 5 to 10 and "plants" them to make them grow. Souls take time to grow and from the beginning to the end of their growth, with proper care, it could take 100 to 200 years.
Nali, the place he lives, is a place out of time and space, an interdimensional "wherever" between al worlds and dimensions. He is some sort of guardian and caretaker of the souls that inhabit all different worlds and dimensions, even if he promised never to intervene to any of the souls he had sent away once they were grown and ready.

About Nishant

He only remembers always being alive in that strange place in between, and started to "grow" those things he called "souls" in hopes to make others similar to him, to have companion and populate all those other worlds and dimension he was able to observe from his place and the vaporous globe in one of his rooms. After starting the strange process, and after many millennials, he finally was able to grow the first two souls, that he embedded in two bodies he had found lifeless in one of the other universes. Planting the seed inside them, they became alife, and with time growth to have their own intelligence and personalities, making him company and helping him with the work he took upon himself, to grow souls to populate the worlds.
Since there was neither time any other form to measure the passing of "time", he cannot say since how long it has been that he was there, and since how long he had his companion and were doing his work, observing the now populated places, and never stopping to grow souls. Even if he had promised himself to not intervene in the "life" his souls were having, seeing the unconscious Yüèlang, he somehow had to help him and took him into Nǎlǐ. He took care of him, together with Na and Nü and somehow they ended up living together, and since Yüèlang's time stopped in that place, he was able to spend with his companionship forever. He learned from his life and about other things around there that he never knew nor experienced, and their friendship, that soon turned out different to the friendship he always had with his two first souls, slowly turned into something more.
