Description

Val-Zod is held in a solar system with a red sun for a century in order to dampen his powers. During this time, he becomes a gifted scientist and strategist. He arrives on earth after escaping Steppenwolf's stronghold in pursuit of a team of warriors sent there to retrieve an artifact.

Although, Steppenwolf is enraged at Val-Zod's descent, he dares not follow him to an earth crawling with superheroes and a newly re-powered Val-Zod.

Val-zod is on earth to secure the artifact and align with Kal-el to use his codex infused dna to resurrect the kryptonian race on earth. He does not wish the human race harm. Rather. he would have Kryptonians show the wayward humans a better example.

Val often hoovers over the planet listening and watching the population. He becomes disenchanted with the idea of sharing a planet with Humans very quickly. He then has to subdue Both The Batman and Lex Luthor who have aligned against him while the justice League runs a foul of the Alien retrieval team led by Kalibek. As he constructs his device on his ship, he has philosophical discussions with both Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor about the state of humanity and it's future if it has to share a world with Kyrptonians.

Val also picks up a few new tricks from Barry Allen (Flash). These tricks come in handy when taking on both Shazam and eventually Black Adam after retrieving the artifact from Atlantis.
