I don't think I say anywhere that it *has* to be. This is just a particular brand I like to use with a certain brand of Bristol Board too.

Whoops~ I mean 'BLANK'.

Like.. on most flashcards, they usually have a blank side on the back. Will making a paperchild on that kind ofmaterial work?

You know like when people have speeches, and sometimes they have loads of pieces of card with each bit of a speech on it? That's a flashcard.

They're very expensive, but amazing quality~ Best on the market!
You can buy them a Curry's (I highly suggest them) or Michael's (both Canadian stores)

I just made a paper child, but I only had colored pencils, sharpies, and cardstock, but it worked good.
The paper child is a LOK Korra kitty, and right now, she's messing with my books.Eh,she tries to find a nice spot to lay.

Is there a big difference with using the regular copic markers and the copic ciao markers? I want to invest in some and was wondering what you would suggest

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

tavington In reply to Gender-Ninja [2012-07-07 21:30:03 +0000 UTC]

Copic Ciao have a very nice brush tip, and they blend very well.

Apart from that, the only difference is the price tag!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gender-Ninja In reply to tavington [2012-07-07 21:51:02 +0000 UTC]

hm okay thank you. Since I'm more used to using colored pencils and am a beginner with marker mediums, what would you suggest that I get to start off with? What size pack? And I looked them up in the official website for Copic markers and the colors look like they are a tad muted. Do you find that to be a difference as well?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

tavington In reply to Gender-Ninja [2012-07-07 21:58:56 +0000 UTC]

Ah, ok. actually markers work really well with coloured pencils, you should try layering them.
I bought Set A, 72 pack, so I had quite a selection to start with. I do have a few open stock of ones not in this set though. I am saving slowly for Set B!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gender-Ninja In reply to tavington [2012-07-09 15:15:40 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow that is rather pricey. But for copic markers that is to be expected.. you pay for quality I guess. So now I will save up for them! Thanks for the advice! =]

I can't believe I never thought of doing that, sticking a tab behind them to hold them in midair with, after all this time. I even tried using stands made from LEGO once.
