Not a particularly well done sketch and there is anatomy to work on as well as perspective and proportion but it was fun to do anyway. Well... despite my sores. I have some odd sore muscles so if I seem a bit grumpy, I blame it on my sores and how busy I'm going to be for these next few weeks. Anyway, I decided earlier the s'morning that I wanted to do a challenge that would be something around my level of familiarity (Sonic characters) with something that will push me to better myself and my art. Each day I want to do a quick doodle of a different Sonic character in a more interesting pose. I need to work on my body proportions and poses anyhow. Adding personality to art has always been a big thing to me. Therefore, I shall try to give the characters more interesting poses and expressions to challenge myself. A different Sonic character will also increase the difficulty and I have been dying for an excuse to draw as many different Sonic characters as I can because I love most all of them. So here we go, starting with the main man, Sonic, here. Originally I almost gave him a normal standing pose but this was around the point I decided that I needed to work on more dynamic poses. It's not meant to be perfect, it's meant to be fun and help me improve so don't expect quality. XD Most of them will probably just messy doodles with a bit of touching up like this one but some may be lineart or even colored. I may do repeats of certain characters if I feel like it but mostly I just want to have fun and get myself stuck on a schedule. I will be very busy these next few weeks so all the better to cement this and not use my business as an excuse not to improve. Who knows, maybe in the future this will evolve from Sonic characters.
