- teased about it in the nursery but after getting into a fight and ripping the other kit’s ear nearly off they left him alone.
- was apprenticed under Rainleap a giant fluffy female who had little patience for stupidity.
- They got along really well and he really enjoyed learning to be a medicine cat
- The kit he got into a fight with came to him as an apprentice and the two scuffled, Twistedpaw tearing Birchpaw ear in revenge for his own.
- Birchpaw won the fight and ended up leaving Twistedpaw with scars on his back.
- The two eventually became friends despite their rocky start.
- He earned his full warrior name and Rainleap retired allowing a young apprentice named Buzzardpaw to start training with Birchscratch.
- The young apprentice was good and learned quickly and although very different they were close.
- Birchscratch died during a bad storm, hunting with a patrol when the wind carried him off his paws and he fell from a tree, breaking his back and neck.
