2 things:

how are you getting those textures on the mountains? just using preset textures on brushes?

how'd you get the fire? is it a photomanipulation or painted?

Sorry for the long delay, I haven't really checked my DeviantArt messages in a long time, but I'd be happy to answer your questions

1.) For the textures on the mountains I used a couple of brushes that had a lot of little speckles. And then I usually went in with a hard round brush for snow. After that I'd use the smudge tool to blend it in.
2.) The fire is just photomanipulation. I found a picture of fire in a dark area and applied a Screen blending option to the layer. That way the black wouldn't show up, but the fire would. Just as a cheap trick, I added a motion blur filter to indicate motion. The sparks coming from the fire is also a manip. Just used fireworks in a dark area.

If you tried to replicate MARK VI's helmet, then the visor is too triangular and the parts under eys/on cheeck are too wide (which is brought up by the visor being too triangular.).

Otherwise it's kind of perfect! : )
