In fact Gundabad is a Montain in the LOTR and the bobbit world.
According to the dwarf, it is were Durin the deathless ( the oldest of the Father of the Dwarf) awoke and bild a stronghold for his people. Though there is also rumour that it always have been a Orcs stronghold.
