FUCK I LOVE THIS, SO LET’S TALK ABOUT WHY.

Okay, first of all, we’re going to start with my favorite topic of all: Composition. Because you knocked it out of the park. His face is front and center, the clear focal point of the piece, but it is enhanced more than that. Both arms are pointing up into the snake, so your eye follows that line to where the head meets it’s tale. This gives you the symbolism of the ouroboros, but also draws the eye down wards into his face again. The blood drips also serve the purpose of grounding the figure with the background, and creating those lines pointing back at our circular snake whirl pool of focus. The entire piece draws you into his smarmy smile. (I fucking love his smarmy smile)

WHILE I’M ON IT, Ouroboros is so On Point for this asshole there isn’t much else to say on the matter. I love the symbolism. (grabby hands)

Your colors are super pretty, vibrant and saturated on his hair & laurels (AGAIN DRAWING YOU INTO THE FOCAL POINT OF THE ART HELL YEAH), but even the rest of the colors are all clear and crisp. The shading enhances everything, giving deeper tones in shadows. I adore the red on his golden pieces - reflecting off the background, giving more color depth to the pieces, and just in general enhancing the Danger feeling when you look at him.

Even though this is a stationary pose it’s still in MOTION and I love that!! The way his. Um. Carpet thing. What even is his carpet thing called. Sash? The way his sash Is fluttering with movement, the cord and tassel still hovering in the air as if he has just struck this pose and the fabric hasn’t settled yet. It makes the whole illustration feel more alive.
