EDIT: 11/05/11: Finally updated her ref.~ I still need to update her headshot and items a bit but I just feel like submitting this now. plus, just this took me about a week on and off to do. orz I hate my hectic schedule....and I still hate my coloring style. D:

Name: Tsunally (Pronounced: SUE-NALL-E)
Tsu for short.

Age: 22

Species: Griffin (Red-Winged Black Bird)

Job: Archaeologist/Anthropologist

Talents:

Finding Things- Whether it be a living being or an inanimate object, she has a uncanny ability to always stumble upon what she is looking for.

Photographic Memory- It was originally discovered by her parents that she had this gift. They noticed that whatever she read, whatever she saw, she always remembered, and could repeat or describe word for word what she saw.
She now uses this ability to remember exact locations of archeological dig sites that she stumbles upon during her travels so she can go back to them later with a mapmaker as to mark the spot indefinitely.
When traveling, she never needs to use a map. She just memorizes one before she departs. Once she sees a landmark, she will remember it forever.

Sewing and Tailoring- She loves to sew. All her clothes are made by herself.

Personality:

Adventurous and outgoing: Loves to explore. Often is found wandering about Voleros with only her supplies and Melvin by her side. When she does come across others, she tends to be quite the chatter mouth.
Hides her feelings: Will always will put on a smile, even if she isn't really smiling on the inside. Doesn't like people to worry about her.
Decisive: When angered or annoyed, with a comment someone makes about her, often retaliates with a smile and a witty but rude reply. A successful outwitting always leaves her with a sly grin plastered on her face for quite a while. She often regrets doing this, but just can't help herself sometimes.
Self-conscious: Mostly about the size of her wings. Always will try to change the subject if it arises.
Devoted: She becomes absorbed in her research when she is working or reading. Due to her devotion to her research and constant travel, she is quite to loner. Even though she does want friends, her life style prevents that from happening.

History:

Tsunally was born in a small village in Alora on the edge of Alave Forest. Her parents, her father a griffin and her mother a moonrabbit, were very busy gijinkas even though they lived in such a quiet place. Her mother was a local seamstress (hence her liking of sewing), and her father was an alchemist (hence her adventurous side).
When she was born, her parents knew she was a griffin because of her tail. But she was born without any wings, and with non-griffin like ears which worried her family. The doctor insured them that her wings would start to grow in a few months. A few months came and went, but still no wings. Months turned into years until finally, when she was 16, her wings began to grow. So now, at age 22, she has only partially grown wings which allow her limited flight if she tries hard enough, and gliding capability if she jumps off of something. She dreams for the day when she can soar through the sky with the other griffins.

Because of her lack of wings throughout the majority of her childhood, and normal looking ears, people always questioned her parents and her of what she was. She was sometimes even picked on by other griffin's her age. While they practiced flying, all she could ever do was sit and watch them. She knew she would get her wings one day. She just didn't know when.

Throughout her childhood, Tsunally's parents never let her wander about unsupervised...well, that is, if they managed to keep an eye on her. She always would run off and go exploring, much to her parents dismay...

When she was 14, she decided to enter the Alave Forest to explore, since she had never done so before. She ended up spending the whole day wandering the forest, completely oblivious that she had crossed into Elavernis at some point.
Later on when she decided to go back she spotted a small, shining egg, hidden underneath some brush. She figured that it had been abandoned and so she took it back with her. When she showed the egg to her parents later on, they questioned her on where she got it but eventually dropped the subject.
A few months later, a little miniature dragon which she named Melvin hatched. The two have been best friends ever since.

Additional Info:

Can't fly. can only glide.

Not everything she finds on her excavations are donated to museums. Where do you think all her emeralds come from? (She tends to only keep emeralds) x3

Tsunally's never found without Melvin the derpy dragon by her side. The darn thing just loves her too much!

Doesn't like to wear shoes while in Alora.

Has aura reading magic. With it, she is able to see the colors of living things' auras.
She first used this ability unintentionally when she found Melvin. The shine she saw was actually his aura from the egg, which she realized later on.
Now that's she older, she has complete control over this ability and only uses it when she has to, such as when someone goes missing.

Quite a bookworm. Loves to read both historical records and fantasy books alike.

Because Melvin grew up living in Alora, and with a griffin family, he now thinks that he is one. So whenever he sees another griffin when him and Tsunally are traveling, he always goes to say hi...in his own special way. x3

Melvin often falls asleep in Tsunally's arms. So he isn't always in the way.

She ALWAYS wears her pendant and hair clip. The clip is a gift from her mother. The pendant is from her father.
