History:
Orchid was abandoned as an egg- she never will be quite so sure what exactly caused her parents to do it, but it didn't stop her from cursing them. The egg was taken in by a gang of riftraft who couldn’t really afford another mouth to feed but couldn't stand to leave the egg alone. Still, Orchid's early life was painfully difficult. Going to bed with a growling belly and watching older gangmembers resort to violence to secure a little extra currency remains ingrained in her to this day.

Orchid decided that she wouldn't do that- she would fight to secure a better life for herself rather than struggling for everything she had. Still...actually doing it was much harder than Orchid ever expected. Every time she managed to make some auran, it always managed to leave her pockets, thanks to the sticky fingers of the pokemon she lived around. Eventually, Orchid made the painful decision to leave them behind, fleeing to the city to attempt to start anew.

It was there she met a sentret named Callen, a guard for the emerald enforcers. Their relationship was rocky at first due to Orchid's sudden appearance without an auran to her name, but they slowly grew closer as he noted her work ethic- even caring for her when she collapsed from overworking herself with 3 different jobs to save up for her dream of owning her own store.

Friendship soon blossomed into something more, and Callen confessed his love by helping Orchid open her shop by pooling their savings together. Soon, the two fell into a simple, calming way of life- Orchid would tend to the shop during the day while Callen attended to his duties, then they would eat together and spend the evenings at each other's sides.

However...one mission Callen was given destroyed this peaceful life for good. He was sent to spy on the blue-spirit outlaws, to act as a mole relaying heist information to his fellow enforcers. However...something went wrong because Callen never checked in, was never sighted with the outlaws...it was assumed the blue-spirit outlaws had found out he was a spy. Orchid thought him dead and mourned the loss heavily.

Luckily, a friend and customer of her shop- an elderly bulbasaur named Petal- offered her a place to stay when returning to her normal routine became too difficult. Petal worked for the trade guild- who Orchid already was familiar with due to interacting with them as a shop keeper, but felt no need to join since she had always felt plenty secure with Callen there to support her.

Now, however...closing down her shop and selling her stock as a wandering merchant seemed much less painful than hiding away in a nest of broken dreams with a ghost.

Personality:
Quiet, melancholic, broody- all fine words used to describe Orchid. A somber young adult, she tends to keep to herself and is a little hesitant to branch out and make new friends with others- yet to anyone stubborn enough to last through her attempts to will others away, she slowly let's down her guard.

The zorua often disguises herself as small pokemon to be able to hide away when she's truly not in the mood for conversation. Her grief has changed her quite a bit from the way she acted before her beloved vanished without a trace. In those days she had more spunk, more fire- she earned her ambition badge for a reason, even if most of that passion has died out to hot embers.

Still...a small flame remains in her even now- she may be weakened, but she is not defeated. The trade guild offers her busy-work...offers her a chance to move on. That ambition within her will only grow in it's presence.

Trivia:
- The chain on her bow is part of a necklace Callen user to wear. She keeps it on her at all times.
- Her favorite pokemon to transform into is joltik. When she transforms, her eye color always stays the same, and there will always be a small patch of blue on her somewhere.
