For those reading, nothing special about this, I just want to get into pen & ink. As you can see I'm clueless as of right now, and I need to learn about shadows and everything aswellRelated content

I'm not sure you need to know about shadows so much as negative space when dealing with pen & ink. This piece is a little bit heavy on the ink, but you still managed to contrast the right shapes to make an an impacting image, which is why I love pen & ink. It reminds me of that song Black Hole Sun, but it's not as repetitive. I don't think I have any suggestions on this piece, but if you want to learn more about shadows and ink techniques, practice drawing over light printouts of drawings and things that have shadows. The trick is to get the right amount of black to depict shades, rather than goign all-black which unbalances images.

As you say you haven't got the skills ... but you sure have ideas. I really ... no no no ... I REALLY like this. The whole crudeness of it shows that nothing unneeded was placed into the image. So yet one may say that there are too many random lines he cannot say that they are overwhelming.
PS. Would you say that "lo-fi" is applicable to drawings?
