One thing I have noticed is a distinct lack of Cyborg pics in TT fanart...probably because the cartoon version's such a bitch to draw. Anyway, I decided to do one of my own, but, inspired by the "Beast-Girl" pics I'd seen posted here at the time, I decided to put my own "twist" on things. Surprizingly, I even came up with a story for her...even if it IS a rip-off of X-23's and more convoluted than anything the actual TTG! writers could come up with. Basically, a normal fanfic, minus the Mary-Sue character...
In TTG! continuity, Brother Blood creates a female clone of Cyborg using his still-stolen copies of Cyborg's design specs and, using hologram rings similar to those Cyborg himself used, has her lead his HIVE students as a new "Stone" on a fake mission designed to flush the real Cy and his teammates out. She lures Cy away from the battle proper and, using a special device, "steals" his mind, leaving his real body inert while she's recovered by the HIVE students.
Cyborg, always the most macho Titan, finds himself "trapped" in a female body under Brother Blood's control...at this point, I suppose I tread WAY too close to hentai territory, but that was honestly not my intent...paraded around, unable to escape until, pushed past the breaking point, he/she manages to override Blood's protocols and trigger a homing device that alerts the Titans to this new HIVE base's location.
Meanwhile, the other Titans are deep in planning, trying to find the base. Raven, however, is plagued by nightmarish visions of Cyborg struggling to free himself from captivity. Believing this is because of what's going on a the HIVE base, they're relieved when, after repeated failures to locate it, they recieve Cyborgirl's homing signal. Both East and West teams lay siege on the base and recover Cyborgirl, returning to the Tower to try and free his mind from the female body. However, Raven continues to have the visions; it's Robin who discovers, while trying to determine a way to return Cyborg to his "real" body, that his mind was never stolen. The device used, it turns out, only copied Cy's mind and memories to the blank slate of Cyborgirl's brain, at the same time uploading a complex virus that completely overrode all of Cyborg's voluntary motor functions while imprisoning his mind in a fractal construct. The real Cyborg was still in his body all along, trapped and unable to contact his teammates, but Raven's empathic powers picked up on his rage and anguish. With Cyborgirl's stored data on the device she used, they're able to finally free him, but that leaves them with one Cyborg too many.
Although both Robin and Bumblebee offer her membership in the Titans and a home in the Tower, she declines, explaining that, even though she knows she's not the real Cyborg, she still looks in the mirror expecting to see his face and seeing a girl's instead. As Cy himself reminds her that she always has a home and a "brother" within the Titans, she activates the hologram rings to disguise her prosthetics and sets out to find her own life and destiny, promising to try and return someday.
